The purposes of this intensive course were to make clear the "big picture" of manufacturing practice and to elucidate and explain the salient points of the individual components. The highlights and lessons to be learned are indicated below in the Agenda. They are supported in the detail by course material that includes the corresponding chapters of The Manufacturing Manager, the stunning 900 page text published in 2002 and written by the workshop's principal instructor. By attendence at this event, the manager will become a more effective player sooner - his enhanced contribution to the firm will be felt at once in on-site decision making, and experience gained will be filed in the proper context.
The course is the result of over fifteen years development involving predecessors which have themselves been highly acclaimed by a very large number of British companies. Course instructors have many decades of experience and are experts in their fields. The principal instructor is David Crabtree.
